Master carpenter and skateboarder Maximilian Reiter combines his two passions – craftsmanship and skateboarding – in a truly unique way. With precise woodworking skills, relentless creativity, and a commitment to sustainability, he breathes new life into discarded skateboard decks. In his small workshop, he transforms broken boards and worn-out decks into artfully crafted, one-of-a-kind everyday objects. But for Maximilian, upcycling is more than just a crafting process – it is a philosophy. Respecting materials, reimagining their original purpose, and embracing the joy of creative reinvention are at the heart of his work. The short documentary “From Nose to Tail – New Life from Old Rides” follows Maximilian Reiter for a day in his workshop. We witness firsthand how something new emerges from fragments of the past. Through atmospheric visuals and meticulous observations, Maximilian’s approach is brought to life – a dialogue between tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and passion. This short documentary offers a fresh perspective on sustainability and creativity in craftsmanship, inviting viewers to rediscover the potential of seemingly worthless objects.
